The Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 (or FCS 2610) is becoming a great vessel in the offshore wind industry.

Recently , WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG signed a Letter of Intent with Damen Shipyards for the FCS 2610 in order to expand its all in all service portfolio for offshore wind farms. Windea plans to deploy the vessel end of August 2013 and will mainly use it for transporting technical staff to and from wind turbines. Following this agreement, EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH, which is part of the WINDEA Offshore Group, sold its two old crew transfer vessels. Knut Gerdes, CEO of EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH said: “ With the operation of the new DAMEN FCS 2610 (available in September 2013) we reached the next level in our story of success.”

Today , Damen announced that Maritime Craft Services Ltd. took delivery of three more Twin Axe wind farm support vessels in June and that two more will arrive next month. The company already owned two fast crew suppliers of the same type.
