Vinashin held a delivery ceremony of the 53,000 dwt bulk carrier, named Thor Breeze at Ha Long shipyard, located in Quang Ninh Province, to Thoresen Co.Ltd, a ship-owner from Thailand, on July 4.
The 109-meter long cargo ship, designed by Danish firm Carl Bro in accordance with the latest international standards, is the final unit from a series of ten king-size vessels.
The cutting-edge vessel can develop a speed of 14 nautical miles per hour and is classed by DNV. It has a gross tonnage of 31260 tons and it will sail under a Singaporean flag.
The ceremony was attended by Mr.Cao Thanh Dong, member of Vinashin’s Council, Mr. Do Van Thau, Vice General Director of Vinashin and representatives of the ship-owner.
