CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Secures Order for Two Bulk Carriers

CSSC Chengxi Shipyard has secured a contract from Greek shipping company Dalnave Navigation Inc. to build two 64,000-dwt bulk carriers. CSSC Chengxi Shipyard has secured a contract from Greek shipping company Dalnave Navigation Inc. to build two 64,000-dwt bulk carriers.

The bulk carriers will incorporate SDARI design of ultramax vessels with energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly, and economic characteristics.

The design in question aims at reducing bunker fuel consumption by about five metric tonnes a day and aims to be maintenance–friendly, with high operational flexibility.

Delivery schedule of the carriers is not yet known.
