DeepOcean UK, a subsidiary of DeepOcean Group Holding BV, today announced two key appointments, to strengthen its Management Team in Aberdeen.

Mervyn New joins DeepOcean as Trenching Business Line Manager – Aberdeen. Mervyn brings over 30 years’ experience in the subsea oil & gas industry, with a strong track record in trenching with various contractors, including most recently Fugro Subsea Services. Mervyn’s responsibilities will include Business Development and Project Delivery for DeepOcean’s Trenching activities in the North Sea. Chris Pickworth joins DeepOcean as Technical Manager (Aberdeen) – Subsea Intervention Services. Chris is a postgraduate qualified Engineer with 22 years’ experience, including 19 years subsea construction experience in the oil & gas industry. Chris joins DeepOcean from Subsea 7 where he was Discipline Manager for UK Engineering support and brings a sound knowledge of SURF & Well Services, including design, manufacturing and operations experience.

DeepOcean plans to significantly expand its presence in Aberdeen in the coming months.
