Vietnam: Hyundai-Vinashin Names Two Densa’s Newbuildings

Naming ceremonies for two vessels “Densa Seal” and “Densa Cheetah” were held at Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard on 24 July, 2013 with the attendance of the representatives of the owner, ABS class, and the yard.

“Densa Seal” and “Densa Cheetah” (Hull Nos. S075 and S076) are the fifth and sixth bulk carriers in the series of six vessels built for Densa Shipping Industry & Trade S.A, Turkey.

The main particulars of the vessels are as follows:

Length: 187 m

Breadth: 27.8m

Depth: 15.6m

Cargo capacity: 47,600m3

Speed: 14 knots

Deadweight: 37,000 tons

The naming ceremony was followed by delivery of the vessels that embarked on their maiden voyage on that very afternoon. The bulk carriers are the last two vessels Densa Shipping had on order at Hyundai-Vinashin.
