After the official opening of Riffgat offshore wind farm, the wind turbines are still not feeding green power to German households, since the grid operator TenneT has not connected the wind farm to the network.

“We could start feeding energy but the firm responsible for connecting the wind farm to the energy network hasn’t done its job so we’re forced to wait,” Euronews quotes EWE’s Technical Project Manager, Irina Lucke , as explaining the situation.

TenneT informed that first the ammunition parts left from the World War Two need to be cleared from the seabed, but the clearing process is taking longer than expected, so the company cannot say the exact time of completion of this part of the work.
