Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Offshore Co., Ltd. (SWS Offshore) held on August 8 the Classification Contract Signing Ceremony of 2+2 PSVs, being built for Pacific Radiance, that indicated that the cooperation between SWS Offshore and DNV officially started.
The new Regional President of DNV, Mr. Torgeir Sterri and his delegation came to SWS Offshore to meet with top management of SWS Offshore, and then the two sides held the Signing Ceremony. The Deputy Chief Technical Officer of SWS Mr. Geng Weixiang, President of SWS Offshore Mr Xiao Xiliang and Vice President of SWS Offshore Mr. Zhou Qi attended the ceremony.
The basic design of the PSVs is provided by Ulstein Group, Norway and their detailed and production design has been ensured by SWS Design & Research Institute. The building contract of the PSVs was signed on May 18, the design contract was signed on June 11. The project kick off meeting was held on June 18. During the labor skill competition which was held from July 4th to Aug.4, the technology-related negotiations for major equipment had been mostly completed.
