On August 27, the 2nd ship “SHEN HUA 523” of a batch of six 46,000DWT bulk carriers, built by China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (CICJS) was successfully named and delivered to Shenhuazhonghai Shipping Co., Ltd. at No. 3 quay of China Shipping Industry (Shanghai Changxing) Co., Ltd.
The Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Guohua Power Branch Company of China Shenhua Energy Company Limited Xia Li named the new ship and conducted the ceremonial breaking of the champagne bottle. The Secretary of the Party Committee of China Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. (CIC) Zhang Yibing, the President of Shenhuazhonghai Shipping Co., Ltd. Mao Zhongsheng and other leaders jointly cut the ribbon of the new ship.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Executive Deputy General Manager Wang Yiling of CICJS made a welcome speech, in which he expressed gratitude to Shenhuazhonghai Shipping Co., Ltd. for adherence to the contract along with continuous acceptance of deliveries of new ships, such as bulk carriers “SHEN HUA 521” and “SHEN HUA 523” despite sluggish situation in the shipping environment, thus providing strong support for the transformation and innovation of CICJS.
Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Shenhuazhonghai Shipping, Ma Liming praised CICJS for high quality of the new ships, expressing hope that the two sides could continue cooperation in overcoming difficult market situation.
