Nordseewerke shipyard in Emden has been awarded a contract to build large foundations for an offshore wind farm.
The project, worth almost EUR 10 million, should begin in early November. The client is the Nobiskrug shipyard in Rendsburg (Schleswig-Holstein). Later on, a residential platform for the Dan Tysk wind farm, comprising 80 wind turbines, will be built on the foundation west of Sylt.
The order will secure work for several months in Emden.
