UK: Forewind Submits Application for DCO for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck

After more than three years of surveys, research, consultation and reporting, Forewind has submitted its application for a Development Consent Order (DCO) for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck to the Planning Inspectorate.

Dogger Bank Creyke Beck comprises two offshore wind farms with a total installed capacity of 2.4 gigawatts (GW). They will will connect into the existing Creyke Beck substation near Cottingham, in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The submission of the application marks a huge milestone for Forewind as it represents the culmination of years of work by not only the Forewind team but with significant input from more than 100 suppliers, consultants and service providers. The majority of these being UK-based companies.

The Development Consent Order application for Dogger Bank Creyke Beck runs to more than 25 volumes and includes the Environmental Statement, Habitats Regulations Assessment Report, Application Plans, Consultation Report and Appendices.

The Planning Inspectorate now has 28 days to validate and accept the application, at which time all the documents will be made available to view online and at local libraries.
