Awilco LNG (Awilco LNG or the Company) announced that the company has taken delivery of its first 156,000 cbm newbuilding LNG vessel named ‘WilForce’ from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., (DSME) of South Korea on 16 September . The vessel was delivered on budget approximately 16 days delayed compared to original contract.
The vessel was subsequently sold to Teekay LNG Partners L.P., and bareboat chartered back by Awilco LNG for a period of five years plus a one-year extension option.
Chief Executive Officer of Awilco LNG, Mr. Jon Skule Storheill , says: “ We are very pleased to take delivery of the vessel which is built to the highest standard and latest eco-friendly technology that we are looking forward to present to the market “.
