South Korea Aug LNG Imports Up 40 Pct

South Korea, the world’s second-largest buyer of LNG, imported 3.27 million tonnes of LNG in August, up 40.2% from the same month in 2012. Most of the August LNG imports came from Qatar (811,824 mt) and Indonesia (630,919 mt). The average LNG price paid declined 5.6% YoY to $14.73/mn Btu in August.
