ULJANIK shipyard has recently delivered to Fincantieri’s shipyard Marghera, located close to Venice, a funnel and part of the superstructure for a cruiser, which will be named “Costa Diadema”.
The drawing up of workshop documentation started in February of this year and the same was done with Uljanik’s Hull Construction in accordance with Fincantieri class. Uljanik shipyard has also made the steel part of the construction section, while all the works on the aluminium part and locksmith activities were executed by the workers of Proizvodnja Opreme from Vodnjan, Croatia. As reported, the funnel section will be mounted in one piece on the cruiser.
“Costa Diadema” will be the biggest Italian cruiser of the company Costa Crociera, and the delivery of the vessel is expected in October 2014. The vessel is 290 meters long and it will be able to transport 3500 passengers accommodated on 17 decks.
