ADPC Chairman Inaugurates Middle East Workboats and Offshore Marine Conference

His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Ports Company has inaugurated the fourth Seatrade Middle East Workboats and Offshore Marine conference.

The event which is one of the largest specialized exhibitions for this vital sector in the GCC region, was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi from 30 September to 2 October.

H.E. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Ports Company said: “We are pleased to inaugurate this important event that highlights the significant progress achieved by the ports sector, trade and maritime transport and logistics services in the United Arab Emirates, and in light of the wise guidance of our wise leadership.”

H.E. added: “Thanks to its geographical position between the East and West supported by an advanced infrastructure of ports capable of accommodating larger ships and tankers, the UAE has become an important center in the movement of world trade. Hosting this event reflects a growing interest in the development of maritime transport services, and we are confident that the growth of this sector will contribute positively to the growth of the national economy.”

More than 165 local and international companies are participating in the conference. The accompanying exhibition offers an ideal platform for offshore maritime workers and marine services specialists in the sector to communicate, exchange experiences and knowledge about the latest developments in the sector, both regionally and globally.
