The International Ballast Water Management Conference 2013 will be held on 1 November 2013. Register and get answers to the most important questions about the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention.

At the conference, focus will be on the questions and challenges arising in connection with the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention. In the light of recent developments in this area, it is expected that the Convention will enter into force in a couple of years.

A number of international experts will answer important questions about on-board ballast water management and the effect of the Convention on shipping when the provisions take effect. The conference will be a combination of presentations and panel debates, where there will be an opportunity to have one’s questions answered.

The welcome address will be given by Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority Andreas Nordseth.

This year’s Copenhagen International Ballast Water Management Conference will take place on 1 November at Radisson Blue Scandinavia in Copenhagen. The annual conference, which is held for the second time this year, has been arranged by the Danish Partnership on Ballast Water – a cooperation between the Danish Nature Agency, the Danish Maritime Authority and the Danish Shipowners’ Association.
