ClampOn has been awarded a contract from Saipem for the supply of ClampOn Subsea CEM®, Corrosion-Erosion Monitors, offshore Egypt. This is one of the largest contracts received by ClampOn to date.
The CEM systems will be configured with our latest technology and may be upgraded with the capability to perform tomography mapping of the pipe when this is available. The ClampOn Corrosion-Erosion Monitors will be part of Saipem’s delivery to the West Delta Deep Marine Phase IXa Project, operated by the Burullus Gas Company in the Mediterranean Sea.

West Delta Deep Marine Phase IXa Project
Earlier this year, Saipem has been awarded by Burullus Gas Company a contract for the development of the West Delta Deep Marine Phase IXa Project about 90 kilometres off the Mediterranean Coast of Egypt. The scope of work encompasses engineering, procurement, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning support of subsea facilities in the West Delta Deep Marine Concession, where Saipem already successfully performed earlier subsea development phases. New facilities include rigid and flexible flowlines, umbilicals and other related subsea structures, to be installed in water depths up to 850 metres. Marine activities will be carried out between the second and the fourth quarter of 2014.
