China’s COSCO Qidong Offshore co has ordered two offshore cranes from TTS Group, to be installed on board a semi submersible accommodation rig.
The value of the order is estimated at approximately NOK 50 million (USD 8.2 million). The accommodation rig is ordered by Axis Offshore to target the strong demand for modern units to operate in the harsh environment in the North Sea, especially in the Norwegian and UK sector with emphasis on high safety standards and comfortable solutions for offshore accommodation.
The unit will be capable to accommodate up to 500 crew and guests.
