The turn-key grouting solution was provided to Volker Staal en Funderingen by Densit.

The complete grouting package included the supply of UHPC grouting material, grouting equipment, supervisor assistance, as well as the overall planning and coordination at all stages of the project. The installation works were performed on board of Rambiz vessel owned by Scaldis SMC.

99 tons of ultra high performance cementitious material Ducorit® S5 was used at this project. This UHPC material, especially developed for offshore operations, has high inner-cohesion and fast strength development properties. These material features, as well as the proficiency of supervisors made it possible to finish the grouting in one day. The work was performed by two skilled grouting specialists from Densit with the use of one mixer spread with the production capacity of 20 tons per hour.

Spanning two decades the company has remained its global leadership in offshore grouting. In total Densit has provided grouting solutions to more than 70% of all wind farms in the world. Borkum Riffgrund 1, owned by Dong Energy Wind Power A/S (50%), Kirkbi A/S and William Demant Holding A/S, is planned to be completed by 2015. It will be able to supply 277 MW of CO2-free energy.
