In close cooperation with Allseas, Iv-Consult designs the tilting lift beams for the Jacket Lift System (JLS) of the Pieter Schelte vessel.

Pieter Schelte is a unique, single-lift offshore platform installation/decommissioning vessel capable of lifting topsides of up to 48,000 tons and jackets of up to 25,000 tons. It will also be deployed for the installation of large-diameter oil and gas pipelines. Allseas is set to put its new vessel, Pieter Schelte, into service.

Iv-Consult’s primary contribution to its cooperation with Allseas is the structural design of the JLS, including all the tie-in points for external interfaces. Besides the beams, Iv-Consult is also designing the tail and jib, from the conceptual phase to the detail phase. Several hoisting and installation operations are conditionally dependent on the installation of the jib.

The Swiss-based Allseas is a global leader in offshore pipeline installation and subsea construction with a large engineering and project management office in Delft, the Netherlands.
