Vattenfall intends to participate in the call for bids for the concession of Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm, led by the Danish Energy Agency (DEA).

The company has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from contractors for the offshore transport of wind turbine generators (WTGs) from the port of pre-assembly to the Horns Rev 3 offshore construction site as well as the offshore installation of these wind turbine generators (WTGs) at the Horns Rev 3 offshore construction site.

Furthermore, Vattenfall is looking for contractors who will provide the design, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, supply, installation, and commissioning of 33kV inter array cables of the offshore wind project Horns Rev 3.

The offshore wind farm is located north of Horns Rev (Horns Reef) in a shallow area in the eastern North Sea, about 20-30 km northwest of the westernmost point of Denmark, Blåvands Huk. It will cover an area of approximately 90 km2 and will have a capacity of 400 MW, which is more than Horns Rev 1 and Horns Rev 2 together.
