The Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, is scheduled an informational meeting on the draft Flagler County Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction Study for Wednesday February 5, at the Emergency Operations Center, in the Flagler County Government Center at 1769 East Moody Boulevard (S.R. 100), Bunnell.

The 30-day comment period on the study began January 18 and ends February 17.

The study team, consisting of federal, state and local agency officials, assessed the feasibility of providing federal hurricane and storm damage reduction measures to portions of Flagler County’s shoreline.

Shoreline erosion threatens oceanfront infrastructure, including the National Scenic Highway SR A1A and public and private structures in the county.
