TenneT announced that it expects to be able to connect the Riffgat offshore wind farm as planned last year, i.e., by mid-February.

Initial connection tests have already proved successful and the final works are taking place at the moment.

Therefore, a mandatory connection date it still not set. Once the exact connection date is known, TenneT said that it will inform the wind farm developers and the public.

The Riffgat offshore wind farm was completed in July 2013, but the connection to the power grid was delayed due to unexploded ordinance left from the World War Two, which needed to be cleared from the seabed.
