Systems integrator Alewijnse Marine Systems will be attending the Asia Pacific Maritime 2014 show in Singapore, where it will announce the next phase in its strategy to supply its electro technical services to shipyards and operators in South-East Asia.

Alewijnse is a full-service supplier of electrical engineering and ICT services to the maritime and offshore industries. The Dutch based company operates all over the world in support of its international client base. The company brings advanced capabilities and the latest technology to Asia, thereby ensuring that projects are completed rapidly and to the highest standards.

For the past year Alewijnse has been working on the refit of a jack-up rig at the ASL Shipyard in Batam, Indonesia. With the success of that project and the development of business contacts across the area Alewijnse is now establishing two permanent offices in this region. At the APM Singapore the company will officially announce the formation of Alewijnse Marine Malaysia and Alewijnse Marine Singapore.

These two nations represent an important opportunity for Alewijnse as their offshore industries expand continuously. Both Malaysia and Singapore have extensive ship repair facilities. Malaysia in particular is developing into a popular destination for international offshore operators looking to repair and refit their high-value assets.

Alewijnse has extensive experience in the repair and refit of offshore vessels and rigs, including new builds, maintenance, conversions and upgrades. Its location in Malaysia will also have a workshop for pre-fabrication and assembly activities.
