Norwegian owner of offshore support vessel DOF has been awarded contracts for three of its vessels.

The company today said that the contracts were secured by its subsidiaries DOF Rederi AS and Waveney AS.

Under the contract, the Skandi Fjord construction support vessel, has been hired by Saipem America Inc. Saipem has chartered the 1983-built vessel on a 90 days firm contract plus 60 days options. The contract begins this month.

Furthermore, the Canadian company CNR International has hired the Skandi Marstein platform supply vessel on a 9 months firm contract. Skandi Marstein joined the DOF Fleet in 1996 and has been working on long term contract mainly in the North Sea.

The third vessel, Skandi Waveney, will be on a 1 year long firm contract plus 1 x 2 years option with Peterson Den Helder BV. The contract for the 2001-built platform supply vessel will begin in March 2014.

In a stock exchange filing issued today, DOF said that the contracts value, excluding options, was NOK 100 million, or $16.4 million.
