Half a year ago, MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) launched an initiative to offer six free slots for invited maritime start-ups.
This way the Institute encourages maritime innovation in the Netherlands, said MARIN director Bas Buchner.
Out of twenty applicants, six received a symbolic cheque as winners.
Each basin testing is worth € 40,000, which was not subsidised by the Government, but MARIN’s own initiative.
Besides free time at the Research Institute, the winners will attend a workshop with MARIN Project Managers and Project Engineers, which will be held today.
