Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA’s (EMGS), the marine EM market leader, has received a Letter of Intent to award a contract for 1,000 km sq of 3D EM data acquisition, data processing, imaging and integration.
The contract is worth approximately USD 8.3 million, and will be conducted for a client in North-West Africa.
“Based on growing demand from new and existing customers, we have decided to mobilize the vessel BOA Thalassa towards Africa and Norway,” said Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS .
BOA Thalassa is a purpose-built 3D EM vessel with the capacity to carry 200 receivers. It is equipped with parallel source systems, including winches, cranes and hydraulic feeds.
