CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co, Ltd. has won the bid for Lot 1 of the dredging project of the 50,000t approach channel in Lvsi area of Nantong Port, with a construction period of 12 months.

The project is Phase 1 of the 100,000t approach channel in Lvsi area of Nantong Port. With a length of some 56.63 kilometers, a designed bottom elevation of -11.3 meters (local theoretical datum for sounding reduction), an effective width of 246 meters and a total construction period of 12 months, the channel can accommodate tide-bound navigation of 50,000t bulk freighters and one-way load-shedding tide-bound navigation of 100,000 bulk freighters.

This program will lay a solid foundation for construction of the 100,000t approach channel in Nantong, thus promoting the economic development of the neighboring areas.
