Cemre Shipyard launched a new ship built for Norwegian Havyard Group based on the order of Icelandic oil service company Fafnir Offshore on 1 March 2014.
The vessel, Polarsyssel, is a state-of-the-art platform supply vessel (PSV) of Havyard 832L L WE design, specially built for operations under extremely harsh conditions in the North Atlantic. She is 88.5 meters long and 17.6 meters wide
With the total investment of $55 million, the Polarsyssel represents the biggest offshore project in Iceland.
