MZM Construction Bags Woodmont Beach Restoration Contract (USA)

The Woodmont Beach restoration program, located in Milford, Conn., will be completed under the terms of around $2 mln contract recently awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.

Work will be accomplished by MZM Construction Company, Inc., of Newark, N.J. Construction is scheduled to start on or about March 24, 2014 and take about two months to complete. The contract was awarded on Feb. 27, 2014.

“The beach repair and restoration work involves placement of sand fill at Woodmont Beach in order to restore the project to full profile dimensions,” said Project Manager Robert Russo, of the Corps’ New England District, Engineering and Planning Division in Concord, Mass.
