CHEC Bags Hel Port Dredging Contract (Saudi Arabia)

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) won the bid for Hel Port (the original Zavall Port) expansion phase IV project. The contract amount is over USD 200 million and the time limit for the completion is 31 months. The works will include construction of four new berths with a length of 1058 m

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) won the bid for Hel Port (the original Zavall Port) expansion phase IV project.

The contract amount is over USD 200 million and the time limit for the completion is 31 months.

The works will include construction of four new berths with a length of 1058 m, construction of the new northern breakwater, dredging of the ship turning basin and harbor basin and reclamation of the eastern embankment.

The project is located at the coast of Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia and this is the extension of Zavall Project Phase I and Phase II. The bidding for Phase III project is conducted at the moment.
