Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb issued a decision No 377 for 2014 to form a ministerial committee for the Suez Canal Development Project.
The committee will be headed by Prime Minister and include Ministers of Housing, Local Administration, Industry, Planning, Civil Aviation and Transport, as well as Ismailia and Port Said governors, in addition to head of the Suez Canal Authority.
The Suez Canal is one of the most important international waterways in the world. In order for the canal to continue being a safe passageway, it must be improved and maintained regularly.
