The five terminals of Pasig River Ferry System have been rehabilitated by Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in preparation for its opening on April.

“ We have started the rehabilitation because some of the ferry terminals have already deteriorated and neglected after its operations stopped ,” said Engr. Emma Quiambao, director of the MMDA’s Sewerage Management Office (SMO) .

The five terminals are at Guadalupe in Makati City; Sta. Ana in Sta. Ana, Manila; Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta. Mesa, Manila; Plaza Mexico in Intramuros, Manila; Escolta in Manila and Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City.

Quiambao said they are rushing the rehabilitation of the five terminals so as not to delay the start of the ferry operations. She added that the agency has also started dredging of the Pasig River near the terminals.
