Jeffrey Fenn, Director of Electrical Engineering with SGC Engineering, is to present at the forthcoming American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Northeast Wind Energy Summit in Maine.

Mr. Fenn will also chair the Transmission and Delivery session during the conference, which takes place from 25-26 March in Portland, Maine. In his role as chair, Mr. Fenn has coordinated the appointment of speakers to present during the session and take part in a panel discussion.

He will also present about, ‘Methods for Working with the Existing Grid for Improved Interconnection and Acceptance’ during the session. Other members of SGC Engineering’s power engineering team will also attend the event, at which the organization is exhibiting.

SGC Engineering is a part of global leading energy services company Senergy.

Jeff said: “As the world looks towards green energy and securing a sustainable supply for the future, the AWEA summit will provide the opportunity for leaders in the field to meet and discuss ways to move our industry forward.

“It is an exciting time to be involved in wind energy and the potential for growth in the US is huge. A vital part of this will involve developing and improving the grid as it is now and I look forward to debating how this can be done most effectively.”

Senergy became a member of the Lloyd’s Register (LR) Group in September 2013, following an agreement for LR to take a significant investment in the company.
