Pipelines 2 Data, a provider of intelligent pipeline solutions for the oil & gas industry, have announced a major milestone in Norwegian expansion plans.

A long-standing parallel framework agreement has been awarded to the Aberdeen based company by Norway oil giants Statoil to clean and survey their extensive network of pipelines.

Commenting on the success, P2D Managing Director, Steve Mayo , said: “This is the first time that Statoil have issued a separate agreement to a cleaning vendor, recognition that our ‘intelligent cleaning’ approach is one which fits perfectly. To be recognised by Statoil is a tremendous achievement for us as we build on our UK North Sea success into Norwegian markets and beyond.”

Using the firm’s ‘Pipeline Healthcare’ approach, the 3 year agreement, with an additional 2 + 2 years option, will see P2D carry out vital survey, assessment and cleaning of Statoil pipelines on the Norwegian continental shelf.
