The EAGE Workshop on Integrated Interpretation of Seismic, EM and Geochemical Data takes place in Singapore 31 March to 2 April. Norway’s EMGS will present case examples from offshore basins worldwide to show how EM brings value to E&P professionals in their exploration workflow.

The Sheraton Towers Singapore hotel is the venue for the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) workshop devoted to the integrated interpretation of seismic, electromagnetic (EM) and geochemical data.

Integrate EM to reduce uncertainly

At the event, EMGS is offering a short course titled “How does marine EM work and how can I make marine EM work for me?”

The course will be given by EMGS’s VP in Imaging & Integration, Friedrich Roth, and is scheduled for Wednesday, 2 April at 13:30 local time.

Generating leads with EM

In addition to explaining how to integrate EM in their exploration workflow, Roth will be showing how such integration can reduce uncertainty in the subsurface model and help exploration- and production professionals make better drilling decisions.

The case examples used in the course cover a number of EM applications such as lead generation, prospect evaluation, reservoir characterization, structural imaging and gas hydrate characterization.
