FLiDAR N.V., a joint venture established between 3E and DEME group, has been nominated for “Best of 10 years” technology award of Industrie magazine for its floating LiDAR concept.
For the realization of this project, a stabilized buoy had to be developed and algorithms that allow reliable measurement from a moving platform were written .
The FLiDAR allows project developers to deliver reliable and accurate information on the wind potential at sea , and at various locations – a major advantage compared to building a solid mast at sea, which is very expensive and time consuming .
FLiDAR is one of ten nominated projects for Best of 10 Years Industrie Award, and the winner will be announced on May 15 during the awards ceremony .
