The Siemens HelWin beta jacket built by Heerema Fabrication Group is successfully loaded on the barge at the Vlissingen yard and ready to sail away.

As Heerema reports, the jacket’s final offshore destination will be the North Sea near Heligoland.

The 3,500 ton jacket is expected to sail away during the next week.

The jacket represents a part of the HelWin beta platform being built for electricity grid operator Tennet.

The platform will connect a large wind farm cluster in the German sector of the North Sea.

The first offshore wind farm that will be connected is Amrumbank West.
