Dolphin enjoys high-demand for its seismic vessels

Norwegian seismic survey specialist Dolphin Geophysical today said it re-positioned the operative seismic vessels in end of 2013 and has achieved high vessel utilization and good performance on theseismic fleet which provided the company with historical high total revenues of $80 million for the first quarter of 2014.

“Further, we experience improved demand for our new high-capacity 3D seismic vessels, capable of towing large and wide seismic configurations,” said the company.

With the recently announced contract awards, Dolphin has secured a total back-log of approximately USD 270 million as per ž April 1, 2014.

Dolphin in March took delivery of the newly built seismic vessel M/V Sanco Sword on an initial 5-year Time-Charter agreement with the Norwegian vessel owner Sanco Shipping AS. The vessel has been mobilised to begin acquisition of 2 new and highly prefunded Multi- Client 3D projects in the Barents Sea.
