Last week, BOW Terminal mobilized a brand new 600-ton crawler crane (type Liebherr LR1600-2) at its facilities, where it was erected with a 54m boom, a 600-ton hookblock and 300-ton superlift, the company told Offshore WIND in a statement.

On Sunday, April 6, the company started a new project for E.ON, where BOW Terminal will handle and store the foundations (monopiles and transition pieces) for Humber Gateway.

The crane is positioned next to the 1.200 tons crane, which allows lifting cargoes in duo lift up to 1.500 mtons.

At the same time, BOW Terminal and its shareholder Kloosterboer started with the extension of 25.000m2 additional terminal area which will be used for the upcoming energy related projects. This new area will be ready for use in June 2014.

BOW Terminal said that it strongly believes that with this new investment including a quay extension it will be ready for the round three projects.
