IHI Secures Contract for LNG Import Terminal in Thailand

IHI Corporation, in consortium with POSCO Engineering, has been awarded an EPC contract for an LNG receiving terminal expansion project by PTT LNG.

This project is for the expansion of the LNG receiving terminal in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate located in Rayong Province, Thailand.

IHI and PEN will jointly undertake the overall EPC services for the LNG receiving terminal, including two 160,000m3 LNG storage tanks and regasification facilities of 5 MTPA.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
