USA: Corps Schedules Channel to Victoria Dredging for July

Approximately 700,000 cubic yards of material from the Channel to Victoria lower reach will be dredged soon, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District. Approximately 700,000 cubic yards of material from the Channel to Victoria lower reach will be dredged soon, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District.

This cleanup program will cost between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the estimated start date is July 22, 2014.

The project period of this maintenance dredging will be 70 days, and if the contractor fails to finish the work within the specified time, it will pay liquidated damages to the Government.
