After the recent naming ceremony, Kvaerner announced yesterday that the Edvard Grieg jacket of 14 500 tones has left the yard in Verdal.
The “Solveig” jacket is heading south to be installed at Lundin Norway’s Edvard Grieg field in the central North Sea.
The jacket will be installed in circa 110-115 meters water depth.
The Edvard Grieg field, located in block 16/1 in production licence PL338, is expected to start first production in late 2015.
With this delivery, Kvaerner Verdal has delivered 41 jackets during the past 42 years.
