The jacket of the HelWin beta HVDC platform has been successfully placed at its position in the German part of the North Sea, Heerema Fabrication Group informed via social media.

After Heerema Fabrication Group had finished building the HelWin beta jacket at its yard in Vlissingen, the structure sailed away to its location on April 11.

The jacket is part of the HelWin bèta HVDC platform, which is one of the main components of the TenneT DC offshore grid connection ‘HelWin2’. The connection with a capacity of 690 MW will connect a large wind farm cluster in the German sector of the North Sea.
