Pakistan: Completion of Gwadar Port Extension Project on Priority Basis

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif last week said that the Gwadar Port Extension Project should be given priority in order to boost economic activity in the country. The Prime Minister briefed the cabinet on his recent visit to China and the development projects finalized during the tour including Pakistan

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif last week said that the Gwadar Port Extension Project should be given priority in order to boost economic activity in the country.

The Prime Minister briefed the cabinet on his recent visit to China and the development projects finalized during the tour including Pakistan-China trade corridor for the uplift of the country.

Pakistan China Economic Corridor project will be linked with Gwadar Port boosting regional trade and integration of Pakistan with China, Central Asia, and South Asia.

Gwadar Port is located at the apex of the Arabian Sea and at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, approximately 460 km west of Karachi.
