Veripos, an innovator in precise navigation and positioning solutions, is co-organizing an offshore positioning industry workshop at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ålesund, on May 22, 2014.
This event, which is aimed at Captains, owners, operators and DPOs, will focus exclusively on the latest advances in DP reference sensor technologies.
It is a free one-day user workshop that will split into two technical presentations. During the first presentation, attendees will be informed of Veripos’ constant improvement of the accuracy and reliability of its GNSS satellite service; of Sonardyne’s ways to extend performance of USBL and LUSBL acoustics and why DP manufacturers prefer the use of Guidance Marine’s laser and radar sensors.
Company experts will present real world examples of how these technologies reduce vessel downtime, lower operational costs and minimise risk.
The second presentation will cover hands-on Usability stream, product engineers will answer questions about using current generation PME systems, while the Future Capability stream will provide the future reference for the equipment and its use.
The workshop will provide feedback to each company’s research and development teams and help shape the future of vessel dynamic positioning.
