UPDATE: Installation of HelWin Beta Jacket Almost Done

The installation work on HelWin beta jacket is nearing completion, after all six piles had been driven into the seabed. The installation work on HelWin beta jacket is nearing completion, after all six piles had been driven into the seabed.

Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) said that the levelling of the piles and welding them to the jacket is about to start soon.

The 4,500-tonne jacket took its position last week .

HFG’s fabrication facility Heerema Zwijndrecht is working on the final construction phase of the HelWin beta topside, due for completion in the summer of 2014.

The HelWin beta platform is being built for electricity grid operator TenneT. The platform has been developed jointly by Heerema Fabrication Group and Siemens, the main contractor for the HelWin2 project.
