The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, and the Idaho Water Resources Board (IWRB) will conduct a series of scoping meetings to support the Boise River Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Statement.

The IWRB is the non-federal sponsor for the study, which will focus on ways to reduce flood risk, and meet current and future water supply in the lower Boise River watershed.

Four open houses will be held to present preliminary study alternatives and take public comments:

– Garden City, May 6 – 6-8 p.m., Garden City Hall, 6015 Glenwood Street;

– Boise, May 7 – 11 a.m – 1 p.m., Washington Group Plaza Training Room, 720 Park Boulevard;

– Caldwell, May 7 – 6-8 p.m., Caldwell Industrial Airport, Hubler Conference Room, 4814 East Linden Street;

– Idaho City, May 8 – 6-8 p.m., Ray Robison Community Hall, 206 W. Commercial Street.

Following a brief presentation, meeting attendees will be encouraged to discuss their ideas and concerns with technical experts in an open house forum. The Corps and IWRB are seeking public input regarding the scope of study alternatives and analyses to consider throughout the feasibility study process and preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
