Petronet Inks LNG Deal with RasGas

Petronet LNG, India’s largest liquefied natural gas importer, has reportedly signed a deal to buy 0.8 million tonnes of LNG from RasGas of Qatar in the fiscal year that began on April 1.

The LNG will be delivered to Petronet’s Dahej terminal, Reuters reported, citing an unnamed source.

Petronet already has a long-term deal with RasGas under which it buys 7.5 million tonnes of LNG per annum from the Qatari company.
