Offshore WIND’s photo of the day: A floating LiDAR deployed on Mainstream Renewable Power’s 450MW Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm site.
On April 20, FLiDAR NV (a joint venture between DEME and 3E), has set up the device at Mainstream Renewable Power’s Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm site, almost 21km off the Fife coast. The FLiDAR is designed to capture valuable hub height wind resource data in the harshest conditions and will remain on site for 6-12 months in support of the Neart na Gaoithe project development.
