Cargotec Corporation and Nordic Investment Bank have signed an eight-year loan agreement totaling EUR 50 million for financing the acquisition of Aker Solution’s mooring and loading systems unit finalised at the end of January 2014 .
The division employs about 370 people in Europe, Asia and the Americas and has its main office in Arendal, Norway.
The mooring and loading systems unit provides mooring equipment, loading and offloading systems as well as a wide range of deck machinery for the global offshore and shipping markets.
This acquisition is highly complementary with MacGregor’s existing offshore offering, including the earlier announced acquisition of Hatlapa, and positions MacGregor as a leading player in the offshore equipment market.
